Hannah Rodriguez Real Estate Agent

Monarch Real Estate & Ranch

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I was a district sales manager for Frito Lay, and drove the Frito Lay truck around downtown Houston to deliver chips during my training.

Where did you grow up?
College Station, Texas

Growing up, what did you want to be?
I wanted to be an actress growing up. My parents put me in acting lessons at a young age, and I had an agent who would book auditions for me.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I like to spend time with my nine-month-old son and husband to unwind. I also really love working out and talking walks around my neighborhood.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I would love to meet Kris Jenner just to talk about branding, and how she organizes her schedule.

What is Houston’s best kept secret?
To me, Houston’s best kept secret is all the diverse food spots. You can find any type of cuisine in Houston.

What do you love most about the industry?
I love the relationships I build, and educating about the real estate process. My favorite moment is seeing the client’s eye light up when we find “the one.”

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
I think the most difficult aspect is that you are your own boss, and your business results are a refection of the work you are putting in to it. You really have to stay organized and have systems in place.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
My best advice is to keep in contact with your sphere of influence and past clients. You want to stay top-of-mind. Social media is also an amazing and free tool to market yourself, in addition to doing weekly open houses.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to?
I currently have been binge watching “The Morning Show” on Apple TV. I love to read, especially self improvement books, and am reading a book called “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise Hayes.

What’s your favorite meal in Houston?
I am a big foodie, so this is a tough one for me, but I would have to say my all-time favorite restaurant right now is Il Bracco in River Oaks. They have an olive oil sea salt ice cream that is to die for.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
I love the Niels Esperson Building downtown because of the Italian Renaissance style.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
One of my quirkiest work experiences happened when my Tesla, which relies on my phone as a key, left me stranded after an open house due to my phone dying. Desperate for a charger, I knocked on doors and stumbled upon a potential buyer, who let me use her phone charger. She just so happened to be looking for a million-dollar home. We connected, and I later helped them find their dream home, marking a significant milestone in my real estate career. It’s a reminder of how life’s unexpected twists can lead to significant opportunities in this profession.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I grew up in College Station and also attended Texas A&M, and graduated with a B.A. in Communications with a minor in Leadership.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
I love Hawaii, particularly Maui. The scenery is so beautiful, and I love the ocean and the more relaxed pace there. As they say, you are on island time!

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Real estate is about relationships first.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
I love following Lauryn Bosstick, the founder of The Skinny Confidential. She is so inspiring to me, and I am always learning new tips and tricks to optimize my health, life and business from her.

What are your social media handles?
