What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I had the chance to work with a startup that pioneered Live-Streaming before it became mainstream. Embracing this innovative form of marketing in its early stages was incredibly exciting, as it allowed me to witness its evolution into the powerful tool it is today.

Where did you grow up?
I spent my childhood in Houston, Texas. I’m a native of Houston, and more specifically, I grew up in Alief, which is known for its vibrant Chinatown.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
From a young age, my ambition was to become the president of the United States. It might have seemed like a bold dream, but my passion was rooted in a desire to make a positive impact on my community. I was always driven by the goal of contributing to society, whether through sharing my knowledge or providing essential resources.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I find solace in exploring new physical hobbies. Recently, I picked up pickleball, which has been both enjoyable and a great way to unwind. Alternatively, I love taking leisurely walks in our beautiful parks; Memorial Park is my personal favorite spot.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
My choice would undoubtedly be Stephen Hawking. His stature as one of the most esteemed scientists in history is awe-inspiring. What particularly resonates with me is his unwavering determination in the face of chronic illness, a trait I deeply admire. Considering my own health challenges, I find his ability to persevere and achieve greatness immensely motivating.

What is Houston’s best kept secret?
Its people. The city’s unparalleled Southern hospitality is a defining trait that sets it apart.

What do you love most about the industry?
What I find most rewarding about working in this industry is the opportunity to provide clients with more than just a property, I offer them a home. The concept of home holds a special significance, and being able to facilitate that sense of belonging for my clients is immensely fulfilling. Witnessing the moment when a homeowner can confidently claim a place as theirs is deeply heartwarming.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Dispelling the stereotypes associated with real estate agents. This profession demands a substantial investment of time and effort, often requiring significant dedication. The intricate process of buying or selling a house involves considerable hard work, commitment and perseverance, aspects that may not always be visible to clients.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Cultivate a strong reputation that precedes any outreach effort. It’s essential to focus on the lasting impression you leave on people. I firmly believe that individuals tend to remember not just what occurred, but more importantly, how you made them feel.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to?
I am currently reading “The Mountain is You” by Brianna Wiest and “Die with Zero” by Bill Perkins.

What’s your favorite meal in Houston?
Recently, I have been on a Sichuan binge! I love the all-you-can-eat option at Liuyishou Hot Pot in Chinatown or Mala Sichuan in MKT Heights!

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
The U.S. Customs House located downtown

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Lupus in March 2022 and had to take 9 months to recover. I struggled with my physical and mental health but while being in a wheelchair, I managed to still be a multi-million producer.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Out of everywhere I have visited, Japan exceeds my expectations. I deeply admire their culture of honor and cultivation.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Believe in yourself. Put in the work. Be nice.
