Houston listings posted a “solid lead” over 2023 volumes during the week ended Feb. 12, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR).

Realtors entered 3,043 properties into the MLS during the week, a 23.5% increase over the same week in 2023, when 2,465 properties were entered. New listings have yet to decline below 2023 volumes this year.

Both pending and closed listings faltered, however. Pending listings declined by 4.4% year over year, with 2,180 listings going under contract, down from 2,280 a year prior. Closings decreased by 2.9%, with 1,094 homes sold, down from 1,127.
