Highland Homes broke ground on its 188-acre parcel of land in the Heritage Bend master-planned community in Fulshear from developer Hines.

Highland Homes will develop the land, creating 204 homesites ranging from 50- to 70-feet wide. Sitework is underway on water infrastructure and wastewater plants, according to a press release.

“Work has been progressing steadily in Heritage Bend,” said Jeff Stinson, vice president of land and strategic planning for Highland Homes. “The major infrastructure work that Hines has been facilitating has reached a point that we can now begin installing underground utilities and paving roads in our portion of the community.”

Development work will likely be completed before the end of the year, Stinson said, with lots ready for construction in early 2027.

“It’s exciting to see Heritage Bend reach this point of development, with builders starting work on their individual neighborhoods,” added Rob Witte, senior managing director for Hines. “Highland Homes has a significant parcel in Heritage Bend and is well poised to bring their neighborhood to life.”

Upon completion, Heritage Bend will span 3,000 acres along Westpark Tollway and Texas Heritage Parkway.
