New listings dip 5.2% in Houston

New listings decreased 5.2% year over year in Houston as pending and closed home sales also dropped, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Realtors added 3,814 properties to the MLS during the week ending March 23, down from 4,022 properties during the same week in 2025.

Meanwhile, closings declined 0.7% year over year, with 1,637 home sales, and pending sales dropped 10.6%, with 2,237 listings going under contract.

Showings increased 3.7% year over year, however, with 45,339 prospective buyers viewing 45,339 homes during the week.
