diane-giagnacovo

Diane Giagnacovo is a Realtor with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene working in Greater Heights.

What was your first job in the realty industry? A real estate agent

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Take a walk, have a glass of wine, drive down to the beach (if time permits), shop! I’ve got plenty to keep me from being stressed!

Where did you grow up? Houston.

Growing up, what did you want to be? An Astronaut!

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Ben Carson. Although I don’t agree with everything he believes I think he’s interesting and very intelligent.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? I enjoy the areas near my home in the heights. Anywhere that’s kid friendly so I can hang out with my son and his dad.

What do you love most about the industry? The excitement someone has when they find the home of their dreams. What a satisfying moment.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I’m very customer oriented so I feel like I really listen to my client’s needs. I strive to be the problem solver and not the one creating the obstacles.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Losing out on a home in a multiple offer situation. It can really break a client’s heart and it can be difficult to bounce back quickly and positively.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I try to attend industry networking events but really I just do what I like to do. I stick to joining groups that I have a true interest in and as I develop relationships I meet new clients.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? So sad, I don’t even remember the last time I’ve gone to a movie OR finished an entire book.

What is your favorite restaurant? Lopez Mexican Restaurant in Southwest Houston. Delicious, local, family owned and run.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
I really like the Bank of America building downtown, the one with multiple peaks.

What kind of car do you drive? Lexus

Smartphone or paper? Smartphone

What is your favorite city after Houston? Austin

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Just shut up and really listen to your client.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? HAR by far. I love it’s accuracy and functions.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? I have never gotten into Twitter.
