Austin Point launch party

by Houston Agent

Builders and other industry professionals gathered on Sept. 21 to celebrate the Signorelli Company’s launch of the first phase of its Austin Point master-planned community in Fort Bend County.

According to a news release, the developer “envisions Austin Point as a series of interconnected districts” with a variety of mixed-use attractions located throughout. The community will feature narrow streets to calm traffic and make it pedestrian-friendly. Nature-focused amenities like parks, trails and outdoor gathering places are also in the works.

“In honoring the rich history and extraordinary assets of the Austin Point land and location, our vision goes well beyond a master-planned community,” President and CEO Danny Signorelli said. “Our vision is to create the next great town in Texas.”

Over 400 homes are expected to be delivered in phase 1. Homebuilders in this phase of construction include Ashton Woods, Beazer Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Castlerock, David Weekley Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes, William David Homes and Westin Homes.

Also included in phase 1 is The 1824, a community event space with a cafe and wine bar and oversized front porch for socializing. The building overlooks Austin Point’s event lawn, which will include an outdoor concert area, children’s playground, beer garden, food truck court and sporting courts.

“We’re designing Austin Point with the kind of walkable, bikeable, approachable neighborhoods that encourage the small-town connections we all yearn for,” Signorelli continued. “As human beings, a sense of belonging to a community increases our sense of well-being and happiness, and that is what we want for the residents of Austin Point.”

Upon completion, Austin Point will contain over 14,000 residences and over 15 million square feet of multifamily, retail, medical and hospitality space. By estimates, the community will be home to over 50,000 residents, making it more populous than nearby Rosenberg.

Future plans for the community include active-adult and build-to-rent projects.
