Before getting into real estate, Angeline Ansari Clark was a clinical psychotherapist working in the non-profit sector with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. “Coming off a long line of difficult cases, I felt the need to go into a different line of work,” she admits. “It turns out that counseling clients through real estate transactions is served really well by someone who has a master’s in psychotherapy.”
Known as being diligent and a fair-yet-fierce negotiator, Clark has been in the industry eight years and is broker and CEO of Monarch Real Estate & Ranch, which she created with her husband Jeff, the company’s COO, just last year. They already brokered a $5.7 million ranch deal and have a team of 17 agents throughout Houston. “My biggest goal is for my clients to know I am in the trenches with them,” she explains. “I am able to teach my agents how to use similar techniques to develop rapport quickly with clients and leverage that to result in sales.”
Clark says her ability to listen for the sake of listening, rather than simply responding, is instrumental to her success. She also stays true to herself. “I started this career as a team top producer processing over 1,000 transactions per year and I’ve spent many hours with my boots on the ground in our growing city,” she says. “That depth of my knowledge and expertise definitely sets me apart from other agents.”
Houston Real Producers named Clark Charitable Agent of the Month in January 2021 based on her work with foster children within the Klein Independent School District Surrogate Parent Program. She supports Second Mountain Ministries and the anti-trafficking organization Love146. When not working, she reserves Sundays as family time with her husband and son.
