Originally from South Africa, Sugra Shaik spent 19 years as a nurse specializing in heart and lung transplants. “Nursing requires knowledge, skills, precision, focus, attention to detail and the ability to care for families and patients in a critical phase of their lives,” she explains. “I believe that experience helps me be a dedicated and professional Realtor, taking care of my clients every step of the way — from the moment we meet until we exchange house keys.”

A Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty, Shaik has lived in Texas for 20 years and recently became interested in pursuing a career in real estate after making a few personal investments. She credits her tenacity as being instrumental in her success. “I never give up with a client,” she insists. “I love a challenging transaction.” Described as a strong negotiator who is compassionate, dedicated, hard-working and knowledgeable, she believes in going above and beyond the transaction and pampering her clients to get them to the finish line.

Coldwell Banker Realty awarded Shaik the International Sterling Society Award in 2022, which she describes as her biggest professional accomplishment last year. She was named a top sales producer and a multimillion-dollar producer in 2022-23. And she has received a certificate in ethical excellence: Raising the Bar 2021. Reaching a total of $5 million in sales her first year, she has already made $5 million in sales within the first three months of 2023, and plans to double that throughout this year. 

Married to an ER physician, Shaik is proud of their daughter Tasneem, who will soon be Dr. Shaik, a clinical psychologist. She is pleased to have accomplished planning Tasneem’s wedding during COVID with all of their family living in South Africa. “I still managed to put it all together in a pretty glamorous ranch-style wedding” she says.
