Vince Biondillo is an Owner/Realtor of Norhill Realty in the Inner Loop of Houston.

What was your first job in the realty industry?
I started in the mortgage industry. I was a loan officer for a number of years for a company called Absolute Lending.

Where did you grow up?
In Houston. Third generation.

What is your favorite free-time activity?
Chasing after my four-year-old.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Go running.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
A real estate agent.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Thomas Edison. I would like to know how he came up with his ideas and turned them into “working businesses” at the end of the day.

Where is your favorite place to hang out?
Mostly at home. I’m also pretty involved with The University of Houston football and basketball, so I always enjoy hanging out at the tailgates.

What do you love most about the industry?
I graduated from the University of Houston with a marketing degree, so I’ve always had a big interest in marketing and I love that part of real estate. I also enjoy working with the clients and trying to help them accomplish their goals at the end of the day.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
Prior to getting into the real estate business, I came from a professional background, so I take a professional approach to the industry. I also stay on top of what’s going on, not just with the real estate, but with other industries as well, such as marketing.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
It’s always difficult to manage personalities. We run into different kinds of people, whether my clients are bidding on homes or when somebody is putting an offer on one of their homes, and managing their personalities can be a struggle sometimes.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients?
I do quite a bit of networking around the University of Houston, at my son’s school and around the neighborhood.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Getting my son to age four without getting seriously injured!

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
The last good movie I saw was Silver Linings Playbook.

What is your favorite restaurant?
Liberty Kitchen.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
I really like the new Asia Society building.

What kind of car do you drive?
A Ford Explorer.

Smartphone.

What is your favorite city after Houston?
Rome, Italy.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Focus on meeting people and understanding what their needs are.
