Construction is underway at Sorella, a 238-acre community from Johnson Development Services and M/I Homes.

Located in Harris County along the FM 2920 corridor, Sorella will include 838 homes on 40- and 50-foot lots. M/I Homes will have 66 homesites in the first phase of construction, offering floor plans from the Smart Series, which features homes sized from 1,295 to 2,825 square feet. In future phases, M/I Homes will build on half-acre homesites.

Also building in Sorella are Beazer Homes and HistoryMaker Homes, which will build on 106 lots each in the first phase. Six model homes will open in the community, with home sales starting in the spring of this year.

“This is a booming area of Houston, and for good reason,” Michael Cox, president of Johnson Development Services, said in a press release. “There is a laid back feeling to the area, yet you have excellent access to the Grand Parkway and Highway 249, which means it’s easy to get where you need to go.”

On-site amenities will include a pool, open-air pavilion, event lawn, playgrounds and lakeside walking trails. Adjacent to the Kleb Woods Nature Preserve, Sorella is zoned to Waller Independent School District.
