Closings rise 10.7% in Houston as new listings dip

Houston home sales increased 10.7% during the week ended Oct. 6, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Homebuyers purchased 2,055 properties, up from 1,856 the year prior. Pending listings, however, declined 3.2%, with 1,913 homes going under contract.

Meanwhile, new listings dropped 13% as agents added 2,986 properties to the MLS, down from 3,432 a year ago.
