What was your first job in the realty industry? My first realty job was in the office of an apartment complex.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Stressed or not, I love to get outside and walk the seawall and beach.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Fort Worth.

Growing up, what did you want to be? No real plans while growing up. Just liked to take on each opportunity that was put before me.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Carol Burnett – A woman that can make everyone laugh and still be such a good business woman. She would have some great secrets and stories to tell. This would need to be a very long lunch.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? The east end of Galveston Island either watching the ships go by or walking on the Strand.

What do you love most about the industry? That it is not just a job but becomes a way of life.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I keep a theme with my life and with my marketing. www.yourpeaceofparadise.com

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? When people are not really wanting to buy property but are wanting a tour guide to show them around the island. This take my time away from others that really do need a Realtor.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Galveston Island events, as well as events in Houston.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? I do not have a greatest accomplishment, as most great accomplishments are the result of many small accomplishments.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? I enjoyed Blended. I love movies that make me laugh.

What is your favorite restaurant? The Steakhouse at the San Luis is where my husband and I have our anniversary meal each year.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston? Not sure about Houston, but I know that my favorite building in Galveston is the Junior League building.

What kind of car do you drive? VW Beetle accessorized with peace signs and flowers.

Smartphone or paper? Both.

What is your favorite city after Houston? Fort Worth. A great place to grow up.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Don’t give up. Find someone to talk to that understands.
